Sacramental Preparation

Reconciliation

The sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the most unique and beautiful aspects of Catholicism. We celebrate that Jesus in his abundant love and mercy, established this sacrament so that we who are sinners can obtain forgiveness for our sins and be reconciled with the Church and with God.

Adults

If an adult has not received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, please contact Sister Sharon to arrange how to do so.

Children

A child in 3rd grade or higher can be prepared to receive First Communion, the preparation for Reconciliation includes parents and students. Contact Sister Sharon for more information.

After celebrating their First Reconciliation one can go to Confession frequently. Confessions are heard here at Holy Family on Saturday afternoons from 3:00 until 3:45 or by individual appointment. Call the office at 303-455-1664 for an appointment.

Holy Communion

The Second Vatican Council (1960-65) called Holy Communion the “source and summit of Christian life.” The sacrament of Eucharist motivates our lives as followers of Jesus and is the way we celebrate our oneness in faith. Catholics believe that the Eucharist is the real presence of Christ in the form of bread and wine.
