Liturgical Ministries

Please look over the various Liturgical Ministries available at Holy Family Church and prayerfully consider serving. We invite men, women and youth to participate.  Training is provided and required by the parish.

The Adoration Chapel is open Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am to 4pm

Holy Family, a Eucharistic community, invites its’ young people and adults to serve at the table of the Lord. Altar servers assist the celebrant and worshiping community in the celebration of the Mass, special liturgies and celebrations. An altar server has received their First Communion, is reverent, attentive to detail and able to follow directions.

Our liturgical music program includes Masses sung both by cantors and the Holy Family Choir.  The choir season begins in September and ends in May.  The choir alternates singing between the 4 pm, 8 and 9:30 am Masses each month. Choir practices are each Tuesday evening in the Rectory Meeting room.

The choir affords not only an opportunity for musical growth but also a deepening of your relationship to God which is shared with the entire faith community of Holy Family.

Denotes a lay person who assists the priest in administering the sacrament of Holy Communion. Ministers of the Eucharist are also needed at parish masses and to visit those who are ill, or otherwise unable to attend Mass. You must show great devotion to the Holy Eucharist and be an example of piety and reverence.

Do you feel called to be a Reader of the Word? You would be the “Proclaimer of God’s Word” to the people in the pew. You must be able to feel comfortable in front of an assembly, do the preparation, and be available for the Mass assigned. You can choose the Mass which is most convenient to your schedule.

Often times, our ushers are the first and only contact for many of our weekend Mass attendees.  Therefore, a significant part of their task is to greet parishioners and visitors alike with a spirit of hospitality.  In addition, they are responsible for meeting the needs of those who attend Mass, collecting/safeguarding all offertory collections and handling any emergencies that may arise during Mass.
