MINISTRY DESCRIPTIONS
Pastoral Council: Five members to help and support in the discernment and accomplishment of pastoral directives.
Finance Council: Three members to assist the pastor with the stewardship of parish financial resources.
Money Counter: Serve as a member of a team that counts the weekend collections. Looking to expand from 2 to 3 teams.
Altar Server: Assist the priest at the weekend masses and special liturgies.
Eucharistic Minister: Help distribute the Eucharist at weekend masses and special liturgies.
Eucharistic Minister to the sick/homebound: Bring the Eucharist to people who are sick or homebound once a week.
Lector: Proclaim the Scripture reading for the weekend masses and special liturgies.
Usher: Greet people, assist in seating, and take up collections at the weekend masses.
Music Ministry: Share musical talent by singing or playing a musical instrument for weekend liturgies.
Social Outreach Ministry: Connects with various individuals and organizations to support those who are in need, provide resources to better situations and encounter others to grow in compassion.
Marthas (Bereavement Lunches): Willing to provide food (salads and desserts) for the funeral receptions and/or help with serving, setup, and clean up for the luncheons. Also, looking for someone to help coordinate the luncheons.
Coffee and Donuts: Help set up, serve, and clean up coffee and donuts once a month on Sunday’s.
Snacks’n Chats: One time a month on Saturday help pick up food, set up and clean up in the Parish Hall, before/after mass.
Sack Lunches: Prepare sack lunches 4 times a year for delivery to the hungry in downtown Denver via the Volunteers of America. The church provides the sacks.
Landscape Committee: Work to coordinate, design, and maintain the plants/bushes areas around the parish campus.
Women’s Group: For those seeking to build community, we meet monthly to reflect on our spiritual lives through a reflection or reading. While most members have kids at home, all are welcome!
Young Adult Group: For folks in their 20’s and 30’s to gather to build community! We meet typically on Sundays, about once every two months. Events are casual and fun, open to all! Maria Determan, a Holy Family parishioner, facilitates the group. Maria is seeking another eager young person to help plan events.
Youth Group: Is a place for young people to thrive and pursue friendships while learning more about their faith. We are seeking volunteers to lead this ministry and participants from 6th through 12th grade.
Catholic with Kids: Join other young families for faith sharing and seasonal family activities. Mary Stessman, a Holy Family parishioner, facilitates the group. Do you have ideas and would like to help plan additional events for families? Let us know if you’d like to assist with this ministry.
